NWE WellReport™ · Completions & Beyond

Completions software on the same record that drilled the well.

On most wells, drilling ends and the record changes hands — new crew, new software, new file, and the well's history re-entered or simply lost at the seam. NWE WellReport's entire-well scope removes the seam: Completions, Frac Ops, Coil Tubing, and Production modules work the same well record that planned, drilled, and reported the well. The handoff problem is not managed here. It is deleted.

The handoff problem

The well's second life starts with a data funeral.

Everything drilling learned about the well — its geometry, its troubles, its true as-built shape — is most valuable exactly when completions begins. That is when it is usually handed over worst.

Completions engineers inherit a well through documents: the final report if they are lucky, exports if they are not. The frac design is built against a summary of the well instead of the well. Stages get recorded in a fresh system, production in a third, and by the first workover the well has three partial biographies that agree on very little.

The entire-well platform takes the opposite bet: one operator application runs the well from beginning to end, so completions works the actual record — as-built surveys, run history, failure reports and all — and adds its own stages, reports, and history to the same file the next stage will inherit.

The completions scope

Stages, frac, coil, production — in the file.

Framed as what it is: part of the whole.Completions is not a separate product wearing the same logo. The modules — Completions, Frac Ops, Coil Tubing, Production, and workover reporting — are stages of the same platform, in the same founding testing program as the directional core, drawing on the same Master Well File. The advantage we claim is the connected record; we let it speak for itself.

01 / NO HANDOFF

The record continues; the crew changes.

When the drilling stage closes, nothing is exported, converted, or re-keyed: the completions team opens the well's file and finds the plan, the as-built surveys, the BHA and failure history, and the daily archive exactly as drilling left them. The wellbore they complete is the wellbore that was actually drilled — not a summary of it.

  • As-builts and history, inherited in place
  • No conversion at the drilling/completions seam
  • One file for the well's whole life

02 / THE STAGE WORK

Completions and frac, recorded on the well.

Completions work and frac stages are recorded against the well in the platform — stage by stage, on the same record as the drilling that made them possible — with coil tubing and workover work and production reporting in the same scope. The reporting discipline is the platform's own: what happens is recorded as it happens, and the daily and stage reports read the record instead of recreating it.

The lifecycle workflow

Drill it. Complete it. Frac it. Produce it.

01

Drilling closes the record's first life.

The end-of-well package files into the Master Well File — the completions team's starting point.

02

Completions opens the same file.

The crew works from the as-drilled record — geometry, history, failures — not a handoff summary.

03

Stages are recorded as they run.

Completions and frac stages land on the well record, reported from it daily.

04

The record keeps going.

Coil, workover, and production continue in the same file — one biography for the well.

Deliverables

One application. Beginning to end.

Plan it. Drill it. Complete it. Frac it.

The completions scope below lives in the same platform and the same well file as planning, drilling, and close-out — which is the entire reason it exists.

  • Completions module
  • Frac Ops — stage records
  • Coil Tubing module
  • Workover reporting
  • Production module
  • Stage and daily reporting
  • Inherited as-built record
  • One Master Well File throughout

Where it stands

Part of the founding testing program.

Where completions stands. The completions-side modules — Completions, Frac Ops, Coil Tubing, Production — are part of the platform's entire-well scope and its founding testing program, with the directional workflow as the beachhead leading the seats. That sequencing is deliberate and stated openly: the DD core proves the record model first, and the record model is what completions inherits.

The claim is the connection. We do not claim completions features we cannot show. What the platform demonstrably does today is hold the whole well in one record — and for completions, that connection is the feature: no handoff file, no re-entered history, no second biography. Everything else is built on that foundation, in the open.

Common questions

Questions, answered straight.

What completions software does NWE WellReport include?

The completions side of the entire-well platform: a Completions module, Frac Ops for stage work, Coil Tubing, workover reporting, and a Production module — all working the same Master Well File that planned and drilled the well. Completions and frac stages are recorded against the well in the platform, and their reporting reads the same record as everything else.

What carries over from the drilling stage?

Everything in the record: the plan and its targets, the as-built surveys, the complete BHA and run history, the daily report archive, failure reports, costs and field tickets, and the formal end-of-well package. Completions opens the well's actual file — there is no conversion step, no summary, and no re-entry — because it was never a different system.

Is completions in founding testing too?

Yes — the completions modules are part of the platform and its founding testing program. The sequencing is honest: the founding seats lead with the directional drilling workflow, which proves the one-record model the whole platform stands on, and completions inherits that proven record rather than a separate experiment.

Does it handle frac stages?

Yes — Frac Ops is one of the platform's modules, and frac stages are recorded against the well in the same record that carries the drilling history and the completions work. Stage records and reporting live in the well file, so the frac story and the drilling story remain one biography of the well.

Why one platform instead of a completions-only tool?

Because the seam between tools is where the well's data goes to die. A completions-only tool starts every well as a stranger; the entire-well platform starts completions with the well's complete record in hand — and hands production and workover the same unbroken chain. One application, beginning to end, is not a slogan here; it is a data-integrity position.
